Rehomed to Burleigh Waters Qld in December 2006 - Scooby is now a cherished family pet - Mum & kids met Scooby at a promo event & just had to adopt him - they even moved to a new home so that they could!  Scoob enjoys the life of a pampered pooch & his antics & lovable, friendly nature bring much joy to his new family & their friends.

"Ivy"

Rehomed to Grafton, NSW in December 2006 - Ivy, now know as Ebony, is now the much-loved companion of an 85 year old gentleman & his family.  Ebony sleeps on his bed (he says "she's the leggiest girl he's ever had in his bed!") or sleeps on the lounge or sleeps on the verandah on her bed in the sun.  She shares the house with 2 cats & occasionally goes out to say Hello to the 2 'outside' dogs.  One spoilt girl, but every bit worth spoiling according to her new family!

"Elvis"

Rehomed to Ferny Grove, Qld  in December 2006 - now known as Evan, this happy little pup is sharing a wonderful home with another of our adopted Greyhounds, Gemma.  Evan & Gemma have lots of fun, running, playing, sleeping, roaching on the lounge, etc.  They have lots of toys, lots of beds, & live happily with free-range chooks & ducks &, of course, their devoted new family members who say they've both brought lots of happiness & laughter to their lives!

"Frankie"

Rehomed to Murphy's Creek in October 2006, This darling 10 yr old gentleman finally found a forever home - with 4 other greyhounds no less! Frankie has moved in with Sammy who was adopted by her foster carer in June 2006 and shares his home with a German Shepherd Aysha and Isabo, Ginger and Ned the greyhounds along with Sammy. Such a great outcome for one of our longer term fosters - he deserved the very best home and he got it!

"Gemma"

Rehomed to Ferny Grove, Qld in November 2006 - Gemma is now the much-loved & admired companion of a mother & daughter who are so impressed with this dog that they are going to foster (& possibly adopt) another Greyhound. Gemma has responded well to their training & now lives quite successfully amongst their free-range ducks & chooks. A wonderful home for this lucky girl.

"Katie"

Rehomed to Boambee NSW in November 2006 - Katie, now known as Kate, is now living the pampered life of a pet. Both she and Ronny have been adopted by a lovely couple that take them on regular walks, allow them indoors to laze around in their company and greatly appreciate the loving, happy natures of these two beautiful dogs. Kate will enjoy her retirement from racing in the best way possible.

Rehomed to Boambee NSW in November 2006 - This lovable big fella wasn't in foster care long before finding his 'forever' home. Ronny, along with his Greyhound companion, Katie, has found a wonderful home with a couple who decided to adopt 2 of our lovely Greyhounds. Ronny will have the best life - in his own huge yard, being allowed to spend time indoors, going on regular walks and having Katie to share it all with.

"Checke"

Rehomed to Jimboomba, Qld in October, 2006 - Checke is yet another of our Greyhounds that has been adopted by her foster carers. She has exerted all her charms to ensure that this couple won't part with her, so she is staying on permanently as best friend to Waggles, the cattle dog. Checke enjoys the luxury of relaxing indoors or running around the fenced acre yard. A perfect result!.

"Ellie"

Rehomed to Uki, NSW in October 2006 - Ellie is now canine companion to Kimmy, the Rottie x a couple of horses and her new owner and her elderly Mum, living on a fully fenced acreage property with room to run (for very short periods when she's not snoozing!)

"Shanti"

Rehomed to Mullumbimby NSW in October 2006. Shanti is now the constant canine companion of a young family living on a property with horses. She is friends with the small male fluffy puppy & gets to live indoors & go everywhere with her new family. A great home for this lovely girl.

"Sweetie"

Rehomed to Upper Coomera in October 2006. Sweetie quickly found a hound haven in which to spend her life. Adopted by a lovely couple living on a fenced acreage property, with an elderly male Doberman as a companion, - a more perfect home could not be imagined. This lazy, affectionate dog has every luxury!

" Ken"

Rehomed to Ashmore, Qld in October 2006. Kenny was very quick to find a wonderful home with a lovely young couple that wanted a big, easy-going dog to share their lives. He has made himself at home and has a big fluffy ginger Persian x cat as a companion. Kenny is quite a lovable character and is the perfect pet for this outgoing young pair.

"FiFi"

Rehomed to Varsity Lakes, Qld in October 2006. Fifi now lives in spoilt luxury with a family that fell in love with her at the Gold Coast Pet Expo event. She is great friends with their long-haired male Chihauha and enjoys regular walks where she greets all the neighbourhood children who love to see her and have a pat.

"Bob"

Beautiful Bob has now been taken in by his owners' granddaughter, who has, at the eleventh hour, granted him a reprieve and offered to provide a permanent home for him when they move into the retirement village. A nice ending for Bob.

"Sparky"

Rehomed to Bangalow, NSW in September 2006, Sparky is such a cruisy, easygoing fellow and has fitted right in with this lovely family and their other animals. He is also (along with his brother, Kane) going to be one of our first Greyhound Friends Pets for Therapy dogs. He and his new owner will visit aged care and special needs facilities to bring happiness and joy to those living there. His gentle, friendly manner will ensure he is well received.

"Mitzi"

Rehomed to Brisbane, Qld in September 2006 - Mitzi has a lovely home with a really nice family who will ensure she lives a comfortable, happy life. She will get lots of love and attention from the two gentle older teenagers, as well as Mum and Dad, and will get plenty of opportunity to run and play with her canine friend next door. A very beautiful dog and a wonderful outcome for her in this 'forever' home.

"Belle"

Rehomed to Murwillumbah, NSW in September 2006, Belle now lives in the home of a single mum and 3 adoring children. A dog that thrives on affection, Belle will receive plenty of it here and will readily adapt to being this family's precious and prized pet (along with the bunny and guinea pig.

Rehomed to Palm Beach, Qld, in September 2006 - Angel, who is perfectly named according to her devoted new Mum, is living a pampered life in a beautiful home where she gets lots of affection, attention and creature comforts, and from the first moment of settling in this wonderful environment has provided lots of love and happiness and satisfaction in return. She is the perfect companion for this lovely lady and is a much adored little angel.

Rehomed to Brisbane, Qld in September, 2006 - Sweet Abby has found a very nice 'forever' home with a man who dotes on her. She whiles away the day, sleeping and taking care of the home until he returns from work & then they spend the evenings providing companionship, fun and affection for each other. Perfect all round.

Rehomed to Yamba, NSW in August 2006 - Spur, so easygoing and cruisy, has settled in with a young family that appreciate his gentle, loving nature & undemanding ways, and enjoy taking him for lots of walks round the neighbourhood.

Rehomed to The Gap, Qld in August 2006 - "Lucy", as she is now known, has a wonderful new life with a young lady that adores her. They are constant companions and Lucy enjoys the pampered life of an indoor pet, with frequent visits to the family giving her lots of play time with her Labrador friend.

Rehomed to Jindalee, Qld in August 2006. Lucy, now known as Jasmine (Jaz), has found a wonderul home with a lovely young couple, their young Bassett Hound and 2 cats. Such an easygoing, sweet young dog, Jaz is enjoying her status as adored new family member in this loving, safe environment and her new family couldn't be any happier with this very special addition to the family. She has slotted into their lives perfectly!u

"Maggie"

Rehomed to St Lucia, Qld in August 2006. Now known as "Amorous" this little sweetie has joined a lovely couple as their much adored and spoilt companion. Full of personality, this very attractive dog melts hearts wherever she goes - she is fun, playful & quite a character & her new owners are as happy with her as she is with them.

"Kane"

Rehomed to Banora Point, NSW in July 2006. Kane is now spending his days in blissful comfort with lots of fun canine company and some wonderful humans to give him all the affection that he believes (and rightly so) that he deserves.

Kane is being trained by his new owner to become the first 'Greyhound Friends' Pets as Therapy dog where he will visit aged care facilities and use his gentle, friendly personality to create smiles and happiness in the people he meets.

Rehomed to West Tweed, NSW in July 2006 - Willow is now the newest member of an active, caring family who have fallen instantly in love with her outgoing, happy nature. She enjoys lots of attention and affection, lots of outings, and has a lovely big yard in which to enjoy her days. Wonderful home for Willow !

"Buck"

Rehomed to Varsity Lakes, QLD in June 2006 - Lucky old Buck now gets to see out his life in spoilt luxury! As the pampered pet of a wonderful woman and her daughter who want to make a difference to an old dog and love the idea of helping a Greyhound! Buck has a beautiful big yard, warm bed on the verandah to snooze the day away or watch the daily goings-on, and his bed inside in the lounge room where he spends his nights cosy and snuggled in the company of his adored new owners. The perfect retirement for this ol' fella.

"Raccoon"

Rehomed to Gladesville, Sydney in June 2006 - This lovely young girl, now known as 'Sapphire', is the pampered pet of a family who thinks she is just wonderful. Although she can be shy of strange and new things, Sapphire settled in to her home very well. She's not silly... she knows when she's got it good, with lots of love and cuddles and a warm bed and nice yard and 2 nice canine companions to share it all with (and a cat, but even that can't spoil it for her).

"Sammy"

Rehomed to Toowoomba, QLD in June 2006 - Sammy is staying with her foster carer. Yes, another lucky Greyhound that gets to stay in the home she's become used to - her foster carer is so accustomed to having the adorable Sammy in her life that she is not prepared to let her leave. Sammy gets to stay on with her canine and human companions that she loves and trusts.

"Tigger"

Rehomed to Wattle Grove, Sydney in May, 2006 igger is now the newest member of a family with 2 young kids where he gets lots of attention and love, and taken on plenty of walks. He's made such a hit in his new home that the family is now considering adopting another greyhound! Go Tigger! A great ambassador for Greyhounds as pets.

"Patch & Sox"

Re-homed to Enmore, NSW in May 2006 - these 2 lucky brothers have a wonderful home together with a couple and an 11 year old boy in Sydney. Sox and Patch are living the 'good life' - sleeping indoors, lots of cuddles, lots of treats, walks in the park, etc etc. From the pound.... to pooch paradise! A very happy ending. "Ernie"

Rehomed to Rosebank NSW in May 2006. - This very attractive, very friendly young dog found a home almost instantly - he is now the extremely spoilt and adored best mate of a lovely young couple living on a property in the Byron hinterland, amongst other dogs, cats, horses etc. Ernie is a total sweetie - a lovable, nice-natured pup that attracts people wherever he goes, including the building sites where his new owner works. They all think he's wonderful.

"Hoover"

Rehomed in May, 2006 to Bellbowrie, QLD - Hoover is now the adored canine companion of Cooch, a young female crossbreed recently adopted from Friends of the Pound, and her lucky young mistress. Hoover has blended in extremely well to his new home, where his time is spent racing through the house with Cooch, going with his owner whilst she tends to the horses and lazily watching Cooch chase about the place. He gets lots of love and attention and plenty of time to do what he loves best.... sleep!. A perfect home for a perfect dog!

"Johnny"

Rehomed in May, 2006 to Pottsville, NSW - Johnny is now the newest member of a lovely young family. He now has the life of luxury and love that he deserves, - as a much adored pet of a young couple and their three young children. Huge yard, his own bed inside the house, walks on the beach, lots of affection - not even the 2 resident cats can spoil this for him!

"Lerlene"

Re-homed to Wyrallah, NSW in April 2006 - this delightful dog found a wonderful home only a few days after coming into our care. "Layla" as she is now known, lives with a lovely family with 2 kids, canine Staffy friend 'Roger', 2 cats and horses. She settled in quickly to become a much-loved member of the family (despite a few pantry raids and moments of cute naughtiness).

"Mr Brindle "

Rehomed to Campbelltown in March 2006 - Brindle is living a laid back, luxurious life with loving new owners. Already best friends with Jake and his Mum, Brindle lives inside, watches TV on the lounge and happily greets every visitor that comes through the door. This boy loves the attention and everybody loves him!

"Poppy"

Rehomed to Brisbane, QLD in March 2006 - Poppy has become an adored member of a young family. She has settled in happily with the young kids and two cats and enjoys spending time with the family's friends' Greyhound, CJ, on walks and visits. A wonderful home!

"Rene"

Rehomed to Ipswich, Qld in March 2006 - Rene is yet another of our beautiful dogs that has found a permanent home with her foster carer. She is quite a character and endeared herself to her carers with her cheeky ways and loving nature, and settled in so well in their home and became such good friends with their other 2 dogs that they couldn't part with her.

"Sunny"

Rehomed to Tanah Merah QLD in March 2006 - Sunny is now the pampered pet of a devoted young lady living with her Mum, and they both love their new family member. Sunny shares the house with an elderly Shepherd and two cats. She is right at home there and it is great that she has found her special place.

"Thaddeus"

Rehomed to Palmvale NSW in March 2006 - Thad has finally found the perfect 'forever' home . Thad has quickly settled in with his new owner - an older single gent and the menagerie of animals that live on his farm. Thad shares his new home with 2 cats, cows and horses, and a large number of free-ranging chooks, geese and peacocks (including the 2 baby peacocks that run through the house and between Thad's legs). He is one special dog and he has found a very suitable and special home where his peaceful, loving nature and companionship is much appreciated.

"Lacey"

Rehomed to Brisbane area, QLD in February 2006 - Lacey is yet another Greyhound that is staying on permanently with her foster carer. She has found her way, as these dogs tend to do, into her foster carer's heart and she is settled and happy and her new owner has said that there is no way she can part with Lacey now.

"Al"

Rehomed in January 2006 to Marlo, Vic. Al has finally found a wonderful permanent home where he is top dog, enjoying all the comforts that he has come to expect, and being a wonderful companion to his new owner, a single, working guy, who in turn appreciates Al's easygoing company and devotion.

"Matty"

Rehomed to Tallebudgera, Qld in January 2006 - Matty was adopted by a fit, active couple that go on lots of walks and love going to the beach, etc. He now has a luxurious life as a pampered pet, living indoors and receiving lots of love and attention. He has adjusted very well to this life and will also be attending dog obedience training with his new owners to reinforce what he has already learnt and for socialisation (a great idea for a well-rounded and 'easy' dog and great promotion for Greyhounds!).
