All Greyhounds re-homed through Friends of the Hound are:

  • desexed
  • vaccinated
  • microchipped
  • intestinal and heartworm treated
  • come with collar, muzzle and warm dog coat
  • free and on-going after-adoption advice

Northern Rivers, Gold Coast and Greater Brisbane area, Australia.

"Nala" - 3 years old - female

Dark Brindle

Nala is an amazingly sweet girl that unfortunately was surrendered back to us due to a change in her family's situation.  Loved & spoilt, Nala is missing her perfect life & needs another family to fill the void.  She is affectionate, responsive & just gorgeous.  She will do well with basic training.  She's good with other dogs & potentially cat-tolerant.

"Jo-Jo" - 1 year old - female

Black

Jo-Jo is a happy, sweet, playful girl.  She's good with other dogs - currently in foster care with another Greyhound & a Whippet.  She has adjusted to life as a pet extremely well & will make a wonderful addition to the family.

Kaili has a sweet, playful, afffectionate nature.  She is great with other dogs & good with children.  A pretty, young girl with loads of personality that will make an excellent family pet.

Blue

Cloud is a recent rescue that is currently undergoing assessment.  She is a pretty, friendly dog, a little shy with new situations & people, but should soon gain confidence with more exposure to a normal pet life. Watch for further updates.

Lena is a beautiful, smart, responsive dog.  She is great with other dogs & walks well on a lead.  She is very affectionate & will make a wonderful household companion!

Maddi is a lively, happy, playful girl.  She is affectionate, friendly & good with other dogs.  Not your typical greyhound, Maddi would love a home with an active family & canine playmate, but this exuberant girl also needs someone to enforce basic training.   She is smart & sweet.  Arrange to meet Miss Maddi today!

Cleo is a gorgeous girl that was unfortunately surrendered back to us by a family that found they no longer had the time to spend with her.  They heartbreakingly decided that their lovely dog needed a family home where she can get all the love & attention she deserves.

"Cain" - 1 year old - Male

Cain is a beautiful looking young dog.  Quite thickset, he doesn't have the lean look of most Greyhounds. Cain was not cut out for the racetrack & has only very recently joined our program.  He is still quite timid of new people & surroundings, but it is hoped his confidence will grow quickly in his foster environment.  A lovely boy.  Watch for further updates.

Friendly & sweet, Brandi is adjusting well to life as a pet.  She is great on a lead, good in the car, good with other dogs & we think this smart, adaptable girl should make a lovely new addition to any family.

Bandit is a sweet 4 year old boy who is the typical lazy couch potato hound. He is relaxed, laid back but is still very happy to go for a daily walk.

"Freckles" - 2.5 yrs old - Female

White with black markings

Freckles is new into the dog adoption program so has not been assessed with cats. She has been briefly assessed with dogs and may be too "full on" to live with smaller dogs. She is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and on Interceptor for parasite control. If you are interested in meeting Freckles or one of her friends, please arrange to complete an Adoption Application form, available from the Small Animal Clinic.

"Roo" - 3.5 yrs old - Female

Black and white

Roo is a lovely little white & black girl. She loves people and going for walks, but also likes to just chill. Roo gets her name from a kangaroo, as when excited will jump up and down on the spot. She gets on with other dogs, but isn't a big player. Roo is not suitable for a home with cats. Roo has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, and is on Interceptor for parasite control. "Mocha" - 2 yrs old - Female

Blue Fawn Brindle

Mocha is a stunning blue brindle girl. She loves people and going for walks, but also likes to just chill. She can be quite playful with other dogs, so may do well in a home with a larger companion. Mocha has not been tested with cats. Mocha has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, and is on Interceptor for parasite control.
