Dear old Candy has not had a great life prior to coming into foster care with us. Candy was surrendered to Logan Pound, who then contacted FOTH to ask if we could help the old dear.
Candy was not in very good condition when she was picked up. She is looking so greyt now. She has had her Vet check which showed her to be in excellent health, no heart or kidney issues, so is now ready to find her forever home.
Unfortunately we have no history on this lovely girl, but she wears a GAP green collar and has settled into her foster home really well. She was initially a little wary of her foster siblings but is happy to be with them now. Candy is comfortable with pet life and living in a home and there have been no accidents with toileting. She has found the couch (typical greyhound!) but is also just as happy to sleep on a comfy dog bed. Candy has a good appetite and she waits and then does a ‘happy dance’ when her dinner is ready. She is a quick to learner, having now mastered enclosed stairs.
Candy is super friendly, loves attention and is always ready to be patted.
Candy has a short tail which could be as a result of ‘happy tail’ as she can get excited. She also sports a couple of malformed toenails.
Candy’s idea home could be as an only dog. She would be quite happy as the only dog in a household as long as she has people around and she is loved. She would not suit a person with mobility issues or is frail as she can be unaware of her size (typical of many greyhounds!). Candy would suit a home with adults or with older children (primary school aged +).
Candy is a lovely older girl who deserves her forever home. If you can offer a home to this beautiful older soul, then you should have many years of love from her.
