And here we have Pepper. She’s a real character and full of life. She’s smart too when it comes to learning new things.
Now if any of you humans out there thought you’d like to have a try at doing obedience training or agility with a dog but didn’t think a greyhound had it in their DNA, this is the girl for you! Bright as a button and smart as a pin.
In the relatively short time that foster mum has started some basic training with her she has learnt to sit, has started to learn down, recall is improving and will sit when she comes. She’s ready to learn more.
Because Pepper is an active hound she would be ideally suited to a more energetic family with older children and a garden to play in. She loves playing her version of fetch. She chases toys thrown for her but the humans have to finish the fetch bit.
Pepper has some endearing quirks especially her chop chops as foster mum calls them. First thing in the morning and when she is excited she likes to snap her teeth in the air. Hilarious to watch.
She is a very healthy, sweet natured girl. A bit enthusiastic when meeting other dogs so will need a responsible owner who can manage introductions to ensure she doesn’t get hurt. Pepper would be best with a larger sized and patient dog as a companion when her humans work away from home so that she has company.
Pepper has no food aggression or resource guarding and doesn’t understand that other dogs sometimes do so she’ll need a patient companion for this reason. She sleeps through the night and loves car rides. Meeting people is her favourite thing.
If you think she sounds like the perfect hound for you she would love to meet you!
